"4 stars! Scott has a special way of writing a realistic, inspiring and emotional story that readers will lose themselves in. The characters are authentic and genuine." ~RT Book Reviews

Welcome home to the great place, a small town the home of America's Army, where the men are strong and the women are tough enough to love them.

Olivia Hale believes in following the process for one simple reason — the rules are simple and clear. Rules give her a sense of order and control in a life that has had anything but. She loves her job as an Army lawyer. And she's definitely not interested in a fellow officer who has never met a rule he couldn't break.

Ben Teague has a way of getting under people's skin — he's hiding a painful past under a joking exterior, never taking anything too seriously. When he's thrown into a job he's spent his entire career avoiding, he's got no choice but to become the thing he hates more than anything: someone who has to play by the rules.

With everyone counting on Ben, he'll have to make a choice...ignore the rules and risk losing everything including the one woman who dares to believe in him. Or find a way to follow them and maybe, along the way, follow them to an unexpected home.

"Ms. Scott does a great job bringing hope in the midst of this chaotic Army life. I am always intrigued and entertained with each book she writes. Well done, Ms. Scott." ~ Under the Covers

"Book Hangover. Huge book hangover. I think it has to do with the fact that I don't have a Jessica Scott novel to look forward to, to read in the next couple of months...Ms. Scott combines the reality of military life and tempers it with incredible passion. She takes serious and current issues within the military and gives us a peek into that world and I want more. Like...now. I want Gale Sorren's book...like yesterday." ~ Mandy | Straight Shootin Book Reviews

"Jessica Scott is one author who knows how to make my emotions go haywire whenever I read her books. She creates characters that I feel for and loves automatically because of their struggles and strengths. She manages to put characters together that help each other in some way." ~ Franjessca | Book Lovin Mamas

"I cannot praise Jessica Scott's Coming Home series enough. I have raved about each book in this series. Jessica Scott combines military careers, civilian life, people with very real problems, and trying to build happy lives in situations that are very hard for those they love....It's Always Been You by Jessica Scott is another powerful book in the Coming Home series." ~ Smut Book Junkies

"Once again, Jessica Scott is able to deliver on the terrible effects that war has on soldiers. Only she can get inside our heads and make us feel the terrible emotions that the soldiers are subjected to. I find her writing to always be thought provoking and her storylines to be exciting. I highly recommend this amazing story and really anything by JS! Another hit!" ~ Ramblings from This Chick

Scott’s fifth Coming Home contemporary (after All for You), set at Ft. Hood, starts out rushed but gradually settles down. Cheeky Capt. Ben Teague never wanted command, but now he has it, including a responsibility to discipline those who were once his peers. When soldier Escoberra beats his daughter until she requires hospitalization, Ben is shocked; it seems totally out of character. Maj. Olivia Hale, the attractive lawyer assigned to advise Ben, insists that the law should be strictly enforced, but Ben can’t shake the feeling that this situation is more complicated than it looks. The sparks of attraction lead Ben and Olivia into distinctly unprofessional situations, while Olivia has to navigate the scars of her own past. What starts as a rough, clunky premise develops into a pleasant and gratifying read, with the characters breaking from their clichéd starting positions near the halfway mark. Disappointing compared to the prior entries in the series, this is nevertheless a quality romance with a satisfying payoff in the finale. Agent: Donna Bagdasarian, Publication Riot Group.
