Zombie Defence

The screams of his friends batter around the halls of the secure facility.

They keep him up at night.

They attack his mind as he starves, restrained to a bed, under armed guard. Tortured into talking. Forced into submitting.

He closes his eyes and waits for the right moment, but the right moment never comes. He can't run. He can't fight. He can't even move.

Then he hears something. Screaming. Getting closer.

He knows that sound.

The infected have entered the building. Thousands of them, flooding through the corridors, devouring every helpless soul they find as they get closer.

They are coming.

He can do nothing but wait.

And that is when Gus realises.
